Who we are
Prostuti (প্রস্তুতি) is a Bangladeshi government job exam preparation platform available as an Android application and at prostutii.com. We provide subject-wise MCQ practice, live mock tests, leaderboards, and AI-driven study recommendations for BCS, Primary Teacher, Bank, and NTRCA exam candidates.

What data we collect
We collect the minimum data required to provide a personalized exam preparation experience. Below is a complete, transparent breakdown.

Google Sign-In — how it works
Prostuti uses Sign in with Google as the only authentication method. There are no email/password accounts. This means:
- You tap "Sign in with Google" — Google's native picker opens on your device
- Google authenticates you and returns a secure token (ID token) to our app
- We pass that token to Supabase (our database), which verifies it with Google
- Supabase creates a session — we store only your Google user ID, name, email, and photo URL
- Your Google password is never sent to or stored by Prostuti
We receive from Google: your name, email address, and profile picture URL. We do not request access to your Google Drive, Gmail, Contacts, or any other Google service.
Your use of Google Sign-In is also governed by Google's Privacy Policy: policies.google.com/privacy
To revoke Prostuti's access to your Google account, visit myaccount.google.com/permissions and remove "Prostuti" from third-party app access.
Firebase Analytics
We use Google Firebase Analytics to understand how users interact with the app. This helps us fix bugs, prioritise features, and improve the study experience.

- Firebase Analytics data is aggregated — we cannot identify individual users from it
- We do not log exam question answers or scores to Firebase
- Firebase data is processed by Google under their Firebase Privacy Policy
- Data is retained by Firebase for up to 14 months by default
- You can opt out of Firebase Analytics via your device's Ads settings (Opt out of Ads Personalisation)
AdMob Ads — future feature
AdMob ads are not currently enabled in Prostuti. We plan to introduce ads only after reaching 10,000 active users, to ensure the app remains free for all students. This policy will be updated with advance notice before ads are activated.
When AdMob is enabled in the future, here is what you can expect:

- We will never show ads to users we believe are under 13 years old
- Ads will never appear during an active exam session — only on navigation screens
- We will provide a minimum 30-day notice in-app before enabling ads
- We will use Google's EU User Consent Platform where legally required
- No ad-tech beyond AdMob will be introduced without updating this policy
AdMob is a Google product. Its data practices are governed by Google's Privacy Policy. To opt out of personalised ads on Android: Settings → Privacy → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalisation.
How we use your data
We use the data we collect strictly for the following purposes:
- Account management — creating and maintaining your Prostuti account using Google credentials
- Exam delivery — serving MCQ questions, recording your answers, calculating scores and accuracy
- Progress tracking — maintaining your roadmap progress, XP, streak, and daily study time
- Personalisation — generating AI study recommendations based on your weak subjects and past performance
- Leaderboard — displaying your display name, level, and XP rank publicly within the app to all Prostuti users
- Notifications — sending study reminders and new content alerts (only if you have enabled notifications)
- App improvement — using anonymised Firebase Analytics data to fix bugs and prioritise features
- Legal compliance — retaining records as required by applicable law
- Build advertising profiles about you to sell to third parties
- Share your exam scores, mistakes, or study habits with employers or institutions
- Train external AI models on your personal content without explicit consent
- Send unsolicited marketing from third-party companies
Who we share data with
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with the following trusted infrastructure partners, each bound by their own privacy commitments:

We may disclose data if required by Bangladeshi law, a court order, or to protect the safety of our users. We will notify affected users when legally permitted to do so.

You can delete your Prostuti account at any time from Profile → Settings → Delete Account. Upon deletion, all personally identifiable data is permanently removed from our database within 30 days. Aggregated, anonymised analytics data (which cannot identify you) may be retained for longer.
You may also request deletion by emailing support.prostuti@gmail.com with your registered Google email address.
How we protect your data
- Encryption in transit — all data between your device and our servers uses TLS 1.3
- Encryption at rest — Supabase encrypts your data at rest using AES-256
- Row-Level Security — Supabase RLS policies ensure users can only access their own data, not other users' records
- No password storage — because we use Google Sign-In only, there are no passwords to protect or breach
- Minimal permissions — the Android app requests only the permissions it needs: Internet access and notification permission (optional)
- No third-party data brokers — we do not use any analytics, tracking, or data-sharing SDKs beyond those listed in this policy
Despite these measures, no system is 100% secure. If you discover a security issue, please report it responsibly to support.prostuti@gmail.com.
Children's privacy
Prostuti is designed for students preparing for government job examinations in Bangladesh. These examinations require a minimum age of typically 18 years. Our app is therefore intended for users aged 18 and above.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13 years of age. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided personal information, we will delete it promptly. If you believe a child has submitted data, please contact us immediately.
AdMob (when enabled) will be configured with child-directed treatment flags set to false and will not serve personalised ads to users we identify as minors.
Your rights and choices
Regardless of your location, we respect the following user rights:
Right to access
Request a copy of all personal data we hold about you.
Right to correct
Update your display name, district, and institution directly in the app Profile page.
Right to delete
Delete your account and all associated data from Profile → Settings → Delete Account.
Right to portability
Request your exam results and progress data in a machine-readable format via email.
Right to opt out
Disable Firebase Analytics via Android device Settings → Privacy → Ads → Opt out.
Right to object
Object to any processing of your data by contacting us at the email below.

Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make significant changes (such as enabling AdMob ads, adding new data types, or changing data-sharing partners), we will:
- Post the updated policy at this URL with a new "Last updated" date
- Send an in-app notification to all active users
- For material changes, provide at least 30 days advance notice before the change takes effect
Your continued use of Prostuti after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. If you disagree with any change, you may delete your account before the change takes effect.
